Hedge fund Anchorage Capital disclosed a 24.9% stake in the total outstanding common shares of Hampton Roads Bankshares (Nasdaq:HMPR), up from the previously disclosed 22.75% stake. HMPR is a bank holding company that was formed in 2001, is headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia, and is a Federal Reserve Member. Its primary subsidiaries are Bank of Hampton Roads, Shore Bank and Gateway Bank & Trust Co. HMPR is a full service banking and financial services organization focused on delivering above average returns to our shareholders and superior products and service to its customer base. Through forty six office locations, its banks operate in some of the most dynamic markets in Virginia, North Carolina, Delaware and Maryland.
